We’re thrilled to announce Algonquin College’s brand‑new Stroke Care Course, developed in partnership with the Champlain Regional Stroke Network (CRSN). This specialized, hands-on training equips Personal Support Workers with practical, evidence-based skills to confidently care for stroke survivors.

Course Highlights:

  • 7-week online program (Tuesday Evenings at 6:30-8:30 pm, from May 12 - June 23, 2026)
  • Interactive case scenarios & presentations
  • Six-hour in-person lab at Woodroffe Campus (Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:00 am-3:00 pm)
  • Access to resources like Smart Tips for Stroke Care, the Stroke Skills Toolkit, and more.

  • Communication strategies, including supporting people with aphasia
  • Visual and perceptual changes post-stroke
